ESCAPE - HAVE THEY MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE?
Chapter 1
“Are you sure about this?” Aleigha Hayle mused, taking a deep
breath.
“Well…I have a tenner – enough for a train journey – and maybe
we’ll have some change to go into that café after!”
“We’re going to get in so much trouble!”
“You have much to learn, Aleigha dear.”
Heather smiled at Aleigha, and helped her over the school fence.
Both of the girls took a deep breath, and then bolted down the street, away from
school, away from everything.

“Heather, I can’t believe you lied and back chatted to the
person behind the ticket counter!”
“It worked, didn’t it?” Heather giggled. “And, like, I’m totes
shocked that you ditched your goody-girl duties to play truant, get the police
searching for us and get read of your GG personality with moi!”
“Err…I’m really…I’m really shocked to, Heather!”
“Aleigha, hon, don’t call me Heather! It sounds so…so boring!
Hev will do thanks!”
Aleigha nodded,
and turned to the window. I want to go
home. She thought. Why, why was I
such an idiot!
At first Heathers plan seemed like the best thing to do; now
Aleigha doubted it – really, really doubted it.
The train stopped with a jerk and Heather lead Aleigha through
the pushy passengers battling to get a good seat on the overly crowded train.
“Man, some of those peeps were vile!” commented Heather, holding
her nose jokingly. Aleigha nodded, and straightened her skirt.
“What now? Are we lost? Are we going to starve and die!?” she
suddenly panicked. Laughing,
Heather put her arm around Aleigha.
“Shut your face hole if your just gonna fret! I told you, I have
a plan. But if you want, you can go back to your mummy and daddy and tell of me
then I’ll…”
“I’m not going back!”
“Good.”
Heather grabbed Aleigha’s wrist and dragged her out of the
station with a mischievous grin on her face.
